Senior Leadership Awards
Each year, Student Affairs is proud to present awards to members of Fordham College at Lincoln Center's Senior Class who have made outstanding contributions to our community. Those members of the senior class graduating in December 2009 or Summer 2010 are also eligible.
Nominations for these awards can be submitted in Lowenstein Room 408. We encourage you to nominate seniors for these awards either by sending an email to deanofsalc@fordham.edu explaining why you feel she or he is deserving of an award and which award, or by completing the attached nomination form and returning it to me in Lowenstein 408 or emailing it to deanofsalc@fordham.edu. You can write a letter of recommendation or use the nomination form provided here.
DEADLINE for Nominations is TBD.
The following awards will be granted at the annual Senior Leadership Awards Ceremony and Dinner on April 27th (all nominees will be invited and honored):
Senior Leadership Award
Nominees should have exhibited the ability to lead, organize, empower, and inspire fellow students. Each should possess a high degree of commitment, creativity, innovation, initiative and integrity. As quality leadership is a way of conducting one's self and not merely possession of a title or position, candidates need not have held positions of high visibility.
Journalism Award
The Journalism Award will be given to the senior who has made an outstanding contribution in the field of publishing, editing, writing or graphic arts for FCLC student publications.
Alumni Award
The Alumni Award is presented to a senior who has attended FCLC throughout his/her undergraduate career, whose record of co-curricular achievement for Lincoln Center and the greater Fordham community is outstanding and whose academic record is commendable.
Community Service Award
This award is given to the senior who has exhibited excellence and leadership in serving others. This student has shown enthusiasm, dedication and compassion when working with those who are marginalized, disadvantaged or underprivileged. This student has also encouraged others to become active in service and has taken on leadership roles to help foster the moral growth of others in the Fordham Community. In addition to serving others, this student works towards promoting the causes of social justice in the larger community and securing positive change in the world.
