  Primary Care

Student Health Services is a campus resource and service center for all students at Fordham University. Our goal is to keep you well, help you get the care you need when you're not, and to empower you to make informed decisions about your health. In addition, you'll learn how to

  • deal with an illness or injury
  • to recognize when you need to seek help for a health problem
  • how to become an effective health care consumer so that you can make informed decisions
  • where to get information to assist you in making informed health care decisions

Student Health Services provides direct care, individual health counseling, and health teaching. Small group workshops on common health interests of the students occur throughout the year. All registered students can receive health care services.

Medical records are strictly confidential and are not part of the academic records. Medical records are used exclusively by Student Health Services to provide personalized care. Any information on these records or concerning a visit to Student Health Services, will not be released without written permission from the individual treated. Immunization records are an exception and are not confidential since your immunization status must be made available to state inspectors and select University offices in order to comply with New York State law.

Lab Tests
The majority of lab tests are performed by an outside Laboratory. Students requiring X-Rays are sent to an outside Radiology office or a local emergency room. In-house labs are also performed with nominal fees. It is the student's responsibility to provide health insurance documentation for these diagnostic tests.

Measles, mumps and rubella immunizations for Fordham Students are available at both the Rose Hill and Lincoln Center Health Centers for a minimal charge.
