It is mandatory for international students to have medical-hospitalization insurance. The Fordham International Student Insurance plan can be accessed by entering here. Information regarding this coverage is available at  the Office of International Students at (718) 817-31456 or (212) 636-6270. All other students are strongly encouraged to have health insurance coverage. The University makes available a reasonably priced additional accident and sickness plan through a private insurance company. Registered students should receive an application in the mail mid-August. Additional insurance application are available at both the Rose Hill and Lincoln Center campus.

Parents should be aware that many family plans terminate coverage for a child after his/her nineteenth birthday. Unless special arrangements are made the student is not protected against cost he/she may incur for treatment of sickness or accident. The University does not provide such coverage for students. Payments for care at hospitals, clinics, or by private doctors are the students' responsibility.

F1 & J1 International students, please refer to the Office of International Students webpage for waiver deadlines and instructions.
